The Emperor from NovelQuest is another attempt to shrink down the traditional office into a single workstation designed to increase productivity, comfort and the number of employees you can cram into your building. It features almost everything any PC user might need including 3 x 19-inch LCD monitors, a smaller 7-inch touch screen which serves as the control center, a webcam, custom work lights, a well-configured computer, a HEPA air purification system, a 30 minute UPS and even limited motion allowing the whole thing to recline or rotate 360 degrees.
If you think the size of the throne is a measure of the size of the man, you should probably readjust your sense of self-worth. But if you love to show off your enormous wealth, this Emperor-size chair just might sate your thirst for powerful symbols. That is, until the next supermodel comes along.
The Emperor includes three synchronized 19" LCD monitors (VGA, with vertical scanning frequencies at 56 ~ 75 Hz.) Monitor resolution at 1280 x 1024. A 7" LCD touch screen control center that adjusts the lights, the airflow, and sounds (who knows what) emanating from the chair. When the master decides to get in, on his time, the tail section of the chair rises up, and then it flips down like a jet cockpit.
It also has a system at the level of a top gaming PC: An NVIDIA Quadro FX 1600M 512MB TurboCache, TV Tuner, a 2.60 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor, 4 GB of DDR2 memory, and a top Blu-ray drive. And that's not all... Also, it features Recaro seat with a vent in the headrest, where a HEPA air purification system claims to reduce airborne bacteria by 99.7%.
But, as usually, luxury comes with a price, and the tag for this “baby” reads 40,000USD, for a Windows version, and for the Mac one you should add another two grand. Still sounds attractive?
