All the thoughts, ideas, concepts and everything that is perceived originate from the brain, which is housed in a cozy and sturdy skull, protecting it from all kinds of trauma. Now, if we could have something similar to a skull to take refuge in and seek solace, it would be just great. In fact, inside it would be dark, warm and almost embryonic.

Well, Atelier Van Lieshout seems to have had the same thoughts, as it has designed the Sensory Deprivation Skull, which is a chamber in which you could get away from it all, and be in a meditative little enclosure. The Sensory Deprivation Skull is made of reinforced fiberglass and measures 150cm x 110cm x 137cm, and only 10 of these are available.

If this wasn’t enough, it also created the Wellness Skull, in which you can sweat it out, for it has a built-in sauna in the head and a bath in the neck. The Wellness Skull is an impressive large skull. Bystanders can watch hot steam escape through the eyes of the skull while you are inside. Nevertheless, both the products allow you to relax, unwind and feel better in enclosures that are designed like a skull.

Unless you are totally freaked about the idea of trying to relax in a giant skull, you can go for the Sensory Deprivation/Wellness Skull, but you should hurry up though, as there are only a few available and, most likely, a very wide range of people who can't wait to get their hands on the unusually designed enclosures.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer's page doesn't offer any details concerning the Skulls' price tags, which means that those who want their own Skull should contact Atelier Van Lieshout's sales department directly. It's highly likely that they'll make a hole into buyers' bank accounts.
